Swala Energy to drill 2 wells in Tanzania in 2015
Australian explorer Swala Energy that has three licenses in the East Africa Rift has said it plans to drill 2 wells in its Tanzanian licenses in 2015.
In a presentation at the Good Oil Conference today Geoscientist Alicia Strother told delegates this is after it completes a 640Km 2D seismic in the Kilosa-Kilombero License as well as the Pangani license having completed a 560km 2D seismic in 2013 as well as 14,393 line km airborne data in 2012.
Currently the company expects to start the acquisition of a 440km 2D seismic in late September in the Kilosa-Kilombero License with additional kilometers having been reserved for potential leads: 380km planned with 60km yet to be decided
In the Kilosa-Kilombero License Swala Energy is targeting fault-related structural highs along the basin edges.
In the Pangani license Swala Energy has already started to acquire 200km with additional kilometres have been reserved for potential leads: 180km planned with 20km yet to be decided.
In the Pangani license that falls in the Moshi basin Swala Energy is targeting fault-related structural highs along the basin edges.
