PTTEP opens a new Mozambique office
PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited or PTTEP has opened its new office in Maputo, Mozambique in a ceremony jointly presided by Esperanca Bias, Minister of Mineral Resources, Mozambique and Tevin Vongvanich, President and CEO of PTTEP.
According to PTTEP, the new office in Mozambique will help streamline the operations and show its commitment to further company’s exploration and production in the country.
PTTEP is involved in the exploration of Mozambique’s Rovuma offshore Area 1 where the company is scheduled to start drilling and appraisal campaign of eight wells for further appraisal.
As of the second quarter this year, PTTEP was successful in drilling Tubarao Tigre-1 well with natural gas discovery. The company is continuously developing Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project.
The LNG project is expected to start producing and delivering LNG in late 2018 or 2019.
