Nairobi gets its first oil industry dedicated office building
Global oil companies in Kenya can now share an office block following the launch of the Nexgen Petro center by the principal secretary for energy yesterday.
The Petro Center developed by the Nextgen Offfice Suites Developers ltd is part of an integrated development that also has a mall and park with the latter consisting of 3 residential towers of 10 stories.
The Nexgen Petro center targets global petroleum companies trading in LPG, Lubricants, Fuel, PetrolStation Equipment Suppliers, Polymer and other related trading activities in the country offering them a central location near Nairobi’s CBD and its environs.
“This exclusive Petro Centre ensures that both national and international companies from this integrated infrastructure, all under one roof in terms of combined resources and streamlined processes and for better interactions within the industry and in the best interests of the COMESA region,” read a statement from the developers.
Nextgen Petro Centre, centrally and ideally located within the capital city’s main CBD, will have easy access to town and industrial area, prominent banks, Nyayo House. Government offices like KEBS, NEMA, National Oil Corporation of Kenya and the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) upcoming office building are behind the proposed Nextgen Petro Centre, a stone’s throw away.
The building has 3 full floors within the Mall available on the 4th, 5th and 6th Floor, total of appx. 200,000 sq.ft of modular office spaces for exclusive use for the Petro Centre. The building can provide up to 70 parking slots designated for Petro Centre’s executives’ exclusive use.
NextGen Petro Centre the concept is the brain child of the exclusive marketing agent Shash Marketing Ltd has a further facility of 400 car parks for common use. There is also provision for a Data Centre to facilitate all the companies’ ICT and data security needs in a centralized location,
To take advantage of the proximity of work and living arrangements, the developer also has apartments available to offer to the Petro Centre’s executives in the 10-story Sapphire Tower of 1, 2 and 3BR with a centralized LPG supply to the apartments.
The developer says they are already in talks with various multinational petroleum companies from the region as well as those from the Middle and Far East, India for occupancy.
