Mtwara to Dar Es Salaam Gas Pipeline Project update

a) Completion and the commissioning of treatment plants natural gas – February 2015;
b) Construction of Valve Stations 16 required for the entire pipeline will be completed at the end of January 2015;
c) Construction of facilities receiving natural gas Mtwara, Somanga, Vote, Kilwa, Kinyerezi and Tegeta in Dar es Salaam will be complete at the end of January 2015;
d) Work to make attempts to greater water pressure on Bomba (Hydrostatic pressure test) different areas in the pipeline where 432 km has been completed. The remaining part will be completed at the end of January 2015;
e) Control of quality at each step in the construction ongoing;
f) Receipt of building materials to the final stage will be completed at the end of February 2015;
g) Transportation of construction materials from the harbor up construction sites;
h) Place Fiber Optic Cable (FOC) on pipeline route, to be commissioned at the end of January 2015;
i) Buried natural gas pipeline with the Fiber Optic Cable (FOC) on its way (backfilling) will be complete at the end of January 2015;
j) Complete the construction of foundations of the (Civil work) plants natural gas processing area at(Mtwara) and Songo Songo (Lindi) by February 2015;
k) To educate the public about the project for different groups apart from the people;
l) Designing and drawing of connecting consumers of natural gas, including Dangote, Meiz, Electrical Machinery of Kinyerezi, Ubungo and Tegeta; and
m) Continue with the preparation of pilot gas pipeline natural and mechanical cleaning natural gas (Pre-commissioning and commissioning preparations).
