Mozambique to open 5th licensing round for fifteen blocks

The Institute of National Petroleum (INP) on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Mozambique has announced that a competitive bidding round to explore for hydrocarbons in the offshore Rovuma, offshore Zambezi and Angoche and onshore around the Pande-Temane concession and Palmeira areas will be announced in London shortly.

A total of fifteen blocks will be included in the Fifth License Round  comprising some 76,800 sq kms of acreage will be included in the round.

The Fifth Licensing Round is scheduled to close on 20th of January 2015.

The formal Announcement will be held for invited companies at the London Hilton Hotel on 23 October 2014.

Further details of the 5th License Round, including Application Guidelines, the Model Contract, the Petroleum Law, Petroleum Regulations, Bidding Parameters, Technical Data and Data Packages and Data Room access, will be posted on the INP website following the Announcement.
