KK Oil and Gas will train oil workers in Kenya following a deal with Canadian firm LearnCorp enabling employees to oil firms get the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) Rig Pass that allows them to access oil drilling sites.
The training that will happen at its 200 million training facility in Westlands, Nairobi will eliminate the need for foreign workers to access such sites a factor that has seen only a few locals gain employment.
KK which has been accredited by IADC has formerly trained Tullow Oil’s personnel numbering 450 and expects demand from international oil companies including PanContinental and Taipan Resources that require local professionals as they start exploration and drilling later in the year.
K & K OIL AND GAS GmbH is an international group focused on activities in the oil and gas field industry, based in Vienna, Austria and offers training in various fields including: Designing and installation of internationally recognized Master Programs in Petroleum Engineering and Customized Training workshops in all Petroleum Engineering discipline
Apart from training the company also delivers other oilfield services in Seismic, Drilling/Work-Over/Stimulation as well as Reservoir Engineering / Reservoir Simulation.
