Bechtel Opens Africa Regional Office in Kenya

Regional office will facilitate development of projects throughout the continent

Bechtel, a global leader in engineering, procurement, and construction has announced the opening of a regional Africa office in Nairobi, Kenya. This regional office reflects the company’s commitment to supporting Africa’s economic growth.

According to Bechtel’s region president for Africa Andrew Patterson (based in Nairobi) the new office in Nairobi presents an opportunity to focus on building stronger relationships with its customers and their communities.

“We are excited about creating a permanent presence in Africa to support our customers in delivering large infrastructure, oil and gas and mining projects” says Patterson.

For more than 70 years, Bechtel has worked in Africa on hundreds of projects. This history and global experience positions the company well to continue to support Africa to deliver the next generation of major projects.

Bechtel says it is committed to supporting the continued development of the continent by helping to build transformative and resilient projects, as sustainability is central to Bechtel’s approach.
