ANGOLA: SONILS Transfers CALM Buoy to Chevron

On March 31st, Sonangol Integrated Logistics Services (SONILS) carried out the transfer operation of CALM Buoy (Catenary Anchor Leg Mooring). These systems are critical for maritime operations in offshore environments, designed to ensure the safe and efficient transfer of crude oil liquids (racking) between vessels or onshore facilities.

The operation carried out at SONILS, involved a monobuoy (floating structure), weighing 285 tons and with dimensions of 16 meters in diameter and 11.7 meters in width, and is intended to replace another located in Block Zero – Malongo.

This transaction reflects Chevron’s and its partners’ commitment to operational modernization in offshore facilities, ensuring the continuity of operations with safety and optimized performance.
